The Plural of CEO and AE

Once and for all I am deciding the plural of CEO is CEOs, and not CEO's. And the plural of AE (Association Executive) is AEs, not AE's.

Like my earlier dilemma of cancelled versus canceled, neither CEOs or CEO's has ever looked correct to me.

The apostrophe is only for possessives, as in "It's the CEO's job to hire staff" – As opposed to "CEOs are the ones who hire staff."

Exactly! It's amazing how often the apostrophe is used incorrectly in newspapers. Thanks for putting it out there.

I've been in the same camp as you on this one. Never understood the apostrophe use.
